I found this opinion piece in The New York Times. The article is available here:
Has Privacy Become a Luxury?
The writer notes how expensive and tricky it has become to maintain one's privacy. I also liked the analogy he has drawn to the organic food movement that has picked up steam in the last few years. There seems to be some optimism in his article as well. Despite the current expenses and challenges, the writer does feel that once the privacy movement gains enough support it will become more accessible and easier to use. This also bleeds into our discussion in class about market forces - if enough demand presents itself the market will supply.
